Make and Take Wearable Fabric Art Workshop
Sign up early for this 1 ½ hour workshop on August 3rd at 2:30pm: Space limited to 15 people of all ages.
Create fun and easy
wearable art necklaces with mixed media techniques.
Using nature as a source of inspiration, combine various materials to make colorful ready to wear art necklaces. Be prepared to have a good time exploring how color and patterns can be transformed into art.
Quick and easy skills of gluing, applying paint and adding paper/cloth will be demonstrated.
Students will gain experience in making color selections and explore combining various scale patterns to make pleasing surface designs. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

The workshop is located in the Wabeno Logging Museum on the WAM Fest grounds in downtown Wabeno.

Mixed media and fiber artist, Colleen Ansbaugh is a resident of Wabeno, WI. Living in the North Woods inspires her to incorporate the wonderful local landscapes into fiber art. Fabric and high use of color are often combined to showcase the changing seasons. She transforms traditional embroidery and stitching into contemporary art. Colleen’s art work is exhibited throughout the nation, abroad and featured in many publications. Her work will be on display at the Neville Public Museum, Green Bay, WI, August through October, 2019. In addition, the Plymouth Art Center will be exhibiting her work as part of the “Blues and Other Hues” venue.
