Jim Counter

At age 13, Jim began singing from the drumkit in his local nightclubs, and since then, as a guitar playing songwriter, he’s shared the stage with artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Blackhawk, John Kay of Steppenwolf, Sawyer Brown, Vern Gosdin, Dan Seals, Mark O’Connor, and John Michael Montgomery.

In ‘91, Counter and his band won the “Hodag Country Band Pickoff.”

Jim performed several sold-out shows at the famous Bluebird Cafe’ in Nashville, TN during his tenure there from ‘93 to ‘08.

Counter sang the National Anthem at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers, and at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs.

As a writer, Jim composed the theme song for Green Bay Packers middle linebacker Brian Noble and his ESPN show “Hitting the Outdoors with Brian Noble”.

In 2012, he performed at the annual Cape May, NJ Songwriters Festival.

Counter had the pleasure of penning 6 songs with Tennessee poet laureate Maggi Vaughn. Maggi wrote a bunch of tunes back in the day with her dear friend, Ms. Loretta Lynn.

Since 2015, Jim’s been back in the area playing live gigs all across WI and the U.P. of Michigan.

Sometime, in 2022, Jim will be releasing his Regional Version of the classic song “I’ve Been Everywhere”; warbling the names of some of our favorite WI and MI cities and towns!

Jim Counter, a Nashville veteran, is more than just country.

How about Pop, Rock, The Beatles, Motown and R& B, along with many of his own songs.

Counter’s repertoire includes the likes of The Doors, James Taylor, Bob Seger, Supertramp, Rush, The Doobie Brothers and many more, mixed in with some timely originals…..

Counter has a smooth and warm delivery both vocally and

acoustically that can only be developed by years of performing live.
